It's here!

My new Kronos just walked in the door.
Just in time for me to walk out the door to work.
I did have a chance to play it for about 10 minutes.
The keybed seems fine.
What should I be looking for to see if I have the faulty keybed?
I'm not too worried, since Korg will take care of me regardless.
I do need to upgrade to the new OS.
And the fan, I hate to say, is the loudest thing in my studio.
Anyway, I can't wait to start exploring this beast!

Those are the best days, except if you want to get anything done at work! I remember the day I got my MPC-1000 in the mail I was so excited that I brought it to work with me. Somehow I think it would be less logistically conducive to do so with a Kronos...

All that aside: congratulations and enjoy the board when you get the chance! :)

Always exciting to get a new keyboard - hope you thoroughly enjoy; I suspect you will :)

Yes I'm like a child at christmas (sinterklaas here in the Netherlands) when I get a new synth.

However with the Kronos it was a bit different. I imagined taking 1 week for listening to the patches and then dive into the engines. After 3 months, I'm still playing patches (and making combis), but barely haven't dived into the engines. A long way to go for me.

Hehe.. same here. However, I made my first patch last night. Simply a Solina string ensemble patch... but I am proud I figured it out!

I got mine yesterday too and couldn't be happier with it! I also had to go back into work after only having it for short time.
Haven't even cracked the manual yet, but am having a great time figuring plenty of stuff out on my own.

I had the keyed problem, and exchanged for a 61. Now I want my 73 again!!!
ANyway, enjoy..
Play smooth, soft, legato lines (scales) and see if any of the notes cut off abruptly. That's what was happening with mine.
It's a killer board...enjoy
