If I wish to download a single / a few
Combi program files from programmers On line
And load them into the m3 is the scenario
such that the entire
Pcg must be loaded thereby erasing the pcg already internal files?
Or can I indeed load individual program files or Combi files
To user banks one by one not as a whole from forum members who have uploaded their work?

i.e must it be all or nothing
all the pcg or can i load single files

You can do this by loading all programs and the combis you need from a file on your M3 or more easily: just load your PCG and the web PCG file in PCG Tools and copy the combi(s) from one PCG file to another, the used programs then will be automatically put also on the clipboard and can be pasted wherever you want.

I do not own the M3 however,on the M50 which runs the same pcg you can indeed load single files.
All you do is download the pcg file in question and put it on your media to load onto your m3,. Then go to media mode and open the pcg file and then open up the combi or program section and individually load just the ones you want. You can load a bank or just a single program or combi. :D

+1 to csteen.

That is indeed the procedure.

Once you've opened a file in media you can do a couple of cool things: you can audition program files before loading just by highlighting them in the program file. Then if you decide to save them (singly) you can put them in any memory location by changing the "save to" location: bank/number. At no point are you forced to load a PCG file to hear programs -- not sure, but you probably do have to load the PCG if you want to hear combis in their correct form.

The best solution for loading combis without loading is to examine them using an editor/librarian. Once you see what goes in each active slot of the combi you can load the combi then correct the instrumentation afterward - a very simple edit, some editors will even let you make the required changes automatically or on the computer. Note that all the rest of the combi information except program can be loaded exactly as intended: zones, velo, ranges, Midi data, tuning, etc. are all imported in without changes - you only have to make sure that the program data which you are choosing not to load is made to match up with the combis expectations, if not exactly, then based on the instrument type (i.e., xxxEP = xxxxWurli).

I hope that isn't too convoluted to follow.
