Hi guys, I tried to read a few posts about this but i'm a beginner and I'm a bit confused.

I basically have my kaossilator pro hooked up via midi to a midi keyboard and want to control the sounds through the midi keyboard.

Firstly, let me tell you my set up:

KPRO- connected via jack to soundcard, into a pc
Impulse Novation midi keyboard via USB to the pc

MIDI OUT from keyboard into MIDI IN on KPRO

KPRO- external output - (shift & number 8


I'm not getting any sound when i play the notes on the keyboard. Do i need to use a particular program?
I do my live recordings through Sonar x1, do i have to alter something on this to get the two to work together?

Any help would really really be appreciated!
- also, sorry, i am a total beginner with this!

Thanks for the link. I downloaded MIDIOX but I'm not sure how this affects my set up. Firstly, does it sound like i had my set up correct?

Secondly, If i want to play a key on the keyboard and have it play sounds from the kaossilator, am i right in thinking the kpro needs to be in external control mode?

Again, I'm a real starter with this! any help would be appreciated! thanks
