Midnight Special: Rock and Roll on the Kronos

Post by phattbuzz »

Well Jeremykeys gave me a bit of inspiration to do a rock performance:

Most of it is done on the Korg Kronos. However I did dust off the Roland Ax-Synth for the lead.

I'm convinced Korg should hire you to demo the Kronos as your real life examples really show some of this board's ability. Tony Banks from Genesis is able to do something similar although he is using Oasys - the predecessor to Kronos to replace a ton of keyboards and using other keyboards as just external controllers to the main engines. BTW I recently got a Standtastic keyboard stand like yours and am really happy with my K88 on the bottom tier. Keep them coming! :D

I really start to like thise Real Live demos.

This is what I am using the Kronos for (not typically Rock n Roll, but Rock in stead of the super produced songs).

This really shows how the Kronos really sounds live without any sequencer or Karma 'tricks'.

Well done!

If you install Flash Player it should work.

I can't believe that there's still no flash support on iOS devices. So frustrating to not be able to play certain videos . . .

I did use Karma on this one - The bass & drums are being triggered by my bass pedals.

Gotta say I enjoyed that performance! Some great video effects, as well, which added to the overall presentation. Well done!

Ron, have you tried a different browser on your Mac, e.g. Firefox, to test if it's your Mac browser or something related to the OS that prevents you from seeing these embedded videos etc?
Others with a Mac report that they can see the embedded Youtube and Soundcloud posts just fine.
Maybe there's some setting not correct in your Mac browser and some Mac user here on this forum can help you with that.

Unfortunately I can't help you since I don't have a Mac but a Windows PC.

@phattbuzz: Nicely done once again! :D
