Any sign of the Kronos ram upgrade option now?

I hope this becomes available for those of us who don't want to tackle the ram installation ourselves.
I think I'd rather just take it to a Korg authorized upgrade place than risk doing something silly myself (a common thing here).

did you contact your local Korg service center on this ? As long as you pay for the service they might do it, plus install 1.5 or 1.6 for you.

In am wonderingn...... Does upgrading the ram enable you to load all of the exes"s?? I have the original 1 gb in my 61 k and can't load all the exs.at startup.
Or..... Does installing ram just give you more speed ( like on a computer)
I want to max out the ram to 2 gb and be able to have all the exs loaded all the time.
Thx in advance.

More samples...user or EXs.
FYI...more ram doesn't increase computer speed--unless you were running out of ram and paging to the HD. As a computer tech...I'm amazed how many people hold onto that from the days when computers didn't have enough ram to function and lived on virtual memory(the hard drive).

Great. Thank you.
Now all I gotta do is get the right memory.

Installed 2 GB ram stick today. No problem.
Unscrew all the screws on bottom, click in new stick in the slot, close lid screws back in..... Done

Local Korg repair center installed mine...and Noiseblocker fan while they were in there...upgraded to 1.52---said they couldn't get 1.6 to load...ha...maybe they senses I don't care...just needed to demo the EXs...and finish building my custom KSCs (needing more ram).
Fan is a bonus. Korg should really include both stock now. I mean...retail they costed $25 or something...and then $80 for the install!

The specs of the RAM are on the Korg site.
And with 3 GB you can load all default EXs (plus a lot more).
