Gotta say that's impressive!

You know how to split that board and get the best out of the K.

Great playing, hats off sir, thanks for sharing :)

That was really great, both playing (technique) and all sounds.
You play in a very good band and both the songs but especially all sounds are very versatile.

I'm also interested in the horns sound btw.

Wow, awesome comments guys, I didn't expect that at all. Thanks very much! :D

The brass is my own combi from Kronos programs, no samples. I roughly based it on the Extreme's "Octave Brass" when I couldn't find a Kronos factory patch that appealed to me. There is a real sax player on the recording, not mixed very high, but he is adding to the overall sound as well. I'll post some specifics on my combi once I set up the Kronos again as I just shifted apartments this week.

Thanks for pointing out the left hand, rmvieira. I pushed up the low end a bit on that clip for the Facebook version while I was trimming off a few minutes so I could post there.

I totally agree, Craig, with your feelings regarding the CX3. I really miss my BV (with Trek percussion) and 122 back in the states. I keep tweaking the Kronos but haven't really hit the mark where I want it yet. My favorite organ synth is still NI-B4 II, but once I got the Kronos, I decided to move away from laptops on stage due to too many crashes during shows. (The Kronos hasn't crashed yet for me during a show, only failed startups when receiving MIDI from the P80, but that's easy enough to avoid)

Ditto on all the comments. Very well done.
Still would like to k ow about those horn patches though. I think so much depends on what your Kronos is hooked up to Pa wise, etc....

Great left/ right independence. You are clearly not a keyboard player who sticks with one sound all night ( not that there's anything wrong Witt that)
You clearly do your homework and have your splits all set up for each song.

Great job. Also I liked the chords you played in that Rihanna song. Breakdown.... Nice jazzy touch. Thanks for the post.

Thanks again everyone for the kind words, I really appreciate it!

Here's a PCG for the horn patch used. To keep the file size down, it contains only Combi bank I-A and Program bank I-C. I believe I did this correctly but please backup your own PCG before loading.

Combi I-A000:"Dan's Horns" is the patch I used on the recording, based on Program I-C070: Stereo Open Brass. There's nothing fancy here, just an octave doubling of the program. I muted the Japanese grand that was externally controlled from MIDI channel 2, since I don't know what you might already have hooked to your Kronos. Anyway, I hope this is helpful!

Well done Dan. Apart from the great keyboard playing the girls did an excellent job singing all those tunes.

thanks for sharing great stuff.

I guess it's the ease with which you walk through all those songs and sound settings and nail all the hooks and themes with great, well working combinations and performance, which impresses us: me too 8)
