Hey Forum,
I put this on the YouTubes demoinstrate the EMX as a vintage synth to my bandmates so I can get out of carrying this other 100 lb fossil around.

And this one with the drum machine features thrown in for grins.

I'd be interested in your thoughts on this application for the EMX.

That should definitely work within a band: virtual analog with the arpeggiator running while fiddling with knobs...you know, just what the EMX was made for.
It definitely beats dragging around old boxes, as you said. You may wanna try your analog gear VS the EMX with a crossfader to fine-tune the tone for an "authentic" analog sound. Don't forget the mod section too, you can get some good drift out of your tone by assigning the randomish S+H wave to pitch, then adjust the depth to your liking.

Thanks
Thanks for looking at them and your thoughts including drift which never occurred to me as desirable but I think you're right.
I fiddled around with the EMX a good bit yesterday and added a cool trick to approximate pitch bend using portamento, the ribbon controller all the way up and a light touch on the slider.
I think I'm ready to show this thing at band practice and see if I can lighten my load some.
Oh and I've been getting them used to the idea by chaining the Moog through the EMX's and adding arp gates then capturing it on the KP3 for loop mangling. Good times.
