What's the deal with the EXs Extra?

Hi people,
I know about the EXs3 but all the other stuff in there seem to be duplicate of the Preload. KSC stuff. Is there really additional samples there? I've put a 2Gb stick recently and i have free memory now for other samples.

I'm leaving space for Sharp's Kronos Attack(is it the right name?) but just wonder if those samples in the EXs Extra add other layers/variation samples to what's already there. And are there PROGs that make use of that in the original PCG file? Thanks.

Preload.KSC is like a “Cherry Pick” of multisamples and samples from the different EXs libraries, but it's done so in a way that the KRONOS knows what EXs they are from, so it is possible to load an EXs in full in on top of Preload.KSC with it's native PCG without wasting memory from the same sounds being loaded twice.

So by default there are a lot of sounds people have still probably not explored yet if all they are doing is loading the Proload.

Each EXs comes with a lot of additional sounds.

It should be possible to load all 9 EXs in full, plus Kronos Assault in full.

The only waste on data should be PCG slots as the Preload PCG will duplicate sounds from the EXs 1 to 9 PCG's. Unlike the loading of Multisamples, it's not SMART in this area to know what's already loaded.

What's really needed is for someone to sit down and put all this into a big ass excel table so a PCG could be made that does not double up on anything.

Regards
Sharp.

Yep, I completely agree with Sharp! :P

I was trying to explore what extras from the DVDs was not already loaded like the concert piano and wind instruments like if there are any extra sax(s),
but I finally gave up and decided not to load anything extra from the DVD
(Not that I truly know what I'm doing anyway)

But, just seems that some things were there and some things were not.
Too confusing for me to tamper with right now.

Super Cool, ed_f. :P
Thank you so much for your time and support to our community!

Just a thought, can you so how format it on the forum so that everyone
can copy it within the forum itself ?

Not sure how much text input is allowed to post, but michelkeijzers
is really good at this  and might be able to help with formatting within the forum.

This way it's not an actual file for someone to download, but maybe
Sharp can just make this topic a sticky for everyone in the community.

Just sharing some thoughts... :D
