Output HELP!

I have a Korg Trinity Pro and the 1/4 inch output as well as headphone jack is not working properly. It has an ADAT optical ouput that I thought I could use to bypass but it doesn't seem to be compatible with my digital to analog signal converter. (I am wanting to use it for live performance)
Question 1: Is the ADAT output option a completely different signal than SPDIF and that is why it will not convert?
Question 2: Is there an easy fix for this seemingly common problem with the output jacks?
Thanks in advance!
Someone please give me a word!

Hello,
The output of the ADAT is only good if you have an ADAT input on the other unit, like a recording sound card or digital mixer with ADAT input. This ADAT out, is exactly like the analog out, but they run via different circuits. That is why the ADAT out still works when the analog outs mess up.
The analog outs is really an easy fix, but you have to kind of know what you are doing. What happened is that the solder must have cracked on the outputs and now it doesnt make good contacts.
Do a forum search and i know there were some pics of how to do this. I still have yet to do this repair on mine also, cause i have the digital out as well (ADAT) and that works so nice for me.
Cheers

Thank you so much for the reply!
I would be interested in outputting from the ADAT out if I can do it without selling my car!

I want to use it live and run stereo if possible.
Would something like the Behringer ADA8000 work:

Sorry, but I'm new to all this signal conversion stuff. I really really appreciate the knowledge!!!

Yes it could work. But try it at a shop or something to knokw for sure. However, fixing the analogue output would be probably cheaper and less hassle on stage...

I agree, if you get that ada8000 really cheap, it is a good unit, but, I wonder if you would have to worry about the clocks etc, but I guess that unit would become the master and the trinity would be the slave as far as clocks, but i never worried about that before.
If you are able to repair it , that would be the best way to go. For sure less hassle on stage as synthjoe mentioned.
Jonnie6624, awesome to know you love that signature. I use each and every chance to share the Word of hope to all. That is our mission to love and share God's love and help as many people as possible. Blessings!
