Michel typically makes several posts a day on various topics, as well as his excellent PCG Tools software. It seems strange that he suddenly disappeared after 1 June. I hope he's OK, and just enjoying a nice holiday somewhere.

Excellent point!

I have noticed the same thing lately. He use to comment in almost every thread. I hope he's just on holday or something and nothing bad happened to him.

That's a VERY good point... He's not been active on Facebook either.

Hope nothing is amiss and that he's having a damn fine holiday!

Hello all,

I am sorry I made a lot of people worried about me.

I indeed had a very nice vacation, so you can expect soon all mails and posts reactions from my side (probably tomorrow because I have limited time today).

THe reason I have not announced my vacation publicly is because burglars tend to follow this kind of sites.

For those who have requested PCG Tools, I will give priority (hopefully this evening, otherwise tomorrow).

Kind regards,

Michel

Hi Michel,

First of all, there's no reason to apologise. I wouldn't announce my holidays either on a public forum for the same reason you mentioned.
I hope you enjoyed your holiday and have regained enough energy for the coming time again. :)

Have a true story for you. I nearly crashed my car with the laughing when I heard this.

There was a caller on the Raido here who was the head of the “Anti Google Earth Organisation”. He and his followers had spent 2 years years fighting to get Google Earth to take down “Street View” of their local Town and was delighted to see our National Radio taking his call.

When asked why he wanted stree view removed by the DJ, his reason were....

Buglers could be sitting at home on their PC 24 / 7watching my home, yours or anyones, just waiting for you to go to the shop or bring your kids to school so they could then break into your home while you were out.

lol... What a complete tool

Sharp.

LOL. If Streetview would be live streaming, then he maybe would have a point.
Streetview is static information though; when I check my own house on streetview,
it still shows my previous (old) curtains from 6 years ago hanging in front of my window. :P

All joking aside though: burglars do make more and more use of social media to find out when people are gone on holidays.
In general criminals adapt very quickly to new technologies just to use them for their own benefits.

I can sympathize with Michel. It seems to me a valid concern. I know we are all very happy here to see one of Michel's posts. Burglary, or the potential for it, is one of the problems that most of us face in this world. I live in a small gated, probably middle class, very remote, community out in the middle of the desert(about 20 homes). Our house is somewhat near the back gate.

Well, I had to become the gatekeeper(that means making sure the automatic gate is working properly for everybody). If I didn't, my music studio could be heading down the road...25 miles to another country. :) :)

@Sharp: oops ... please don't get injured, I was/am completely serious :-)

Probably next time I still will not announce it, but since I have only about 25 vacation days a year, I will never be away for more than a few weeks (hope that helps).

Sure, it's a very serious subject and your dead right not to announce a holiday. The story of the “Street View” guys just popped into my head. lol...

Regards
Sharp.
