Yes, Jim does a good job with whatever he does.

The ProS and ProDGX are identical in terms of sounds.
BUT it is just about impossible to sample, mainly because although it is a "preset" synth it also has aftertouch, which can be made to affect:

1) Pitch bend
2) Wow
3) Growl
4) Brilliance
5) Volume
6)Vibrato/repeat

The waveforms are often continuously variable too and you can add portamento, so you need long samples.
And if the sound you want is for Genesis trib like me a sample doesn't really do the job, no matter how you try.

Yep also the resonators add a bit to the sound. The touch fx would be hard to implement as stated by Alan.

I have had some success transferring patches to my Moog Voyager, at least in a single note A-B sound comparison. It´s only when you start playing actual lines that the differences come to light..

So yep, its unique... would be nice to revisit the ProSoloist VST again I think that was pretty good back when I tried it.
