Hi all,

How do I loop something with this? Basically, I play some keys and I want the mini kp2 to keep looping it.. how do I do this?

Touch and hold the pad at the end of the phrase you want to loop and keep your finger on it or press the hold button. If it's like the minikp1 it will only loop the previous 8 beats.

Got mine yesterday. You select the banks to be either 4 or 8 beats first. You can do that in the menu or by holding the I or II bank snnd using the touch slider.

Once that is set you hold the bank you want to record in and play the sounds you want to record from the touchpad. It flashes red whilst recording. You can then switch it on or off and play other sounds.

You can then lay other sounds over the top following the same process. But you cannot undo as far as I can see, so be careful not to mess up a great loop by recording something that doesn't work over it as you will have to delete the whole loop unless you saved it to card (I think - I don't have a memory card yet).

@silvercue - I think halisray is talking about the minikp2 - the effects unit - not the KO2. That being said, I guess I should have been a bit more precise - you need to have selected one of the looping programs before the looping will work.

using the F/R Loop will do, and position Left Top will record 8 beat only if no mistaken, by the way just like DJM's Roll but i like it

So mini kp2 can loop too? Can someone explain how it works? I'm really interested in getting one. Will it loop infinte loops if I add more loops?

I don't think it records or even creates loops. You record loops on the Kaossilator2 and then apply effects to them with the Kp2 in real time. You can record these realtime performances using the master recorder on the kp2. The kaossilator 2 also has a master recorder but it also will record loops as well as just save settings if you like.

The 'looper' that was being referred to is one of the programs...scrolling it in and using the touchscreen in realtime but no looping function on the kp2; you can set a cue point for playback though so i don't know if you could create a loop that way.

there are 15 different looper programs on the kp2.

Does anyone know how to delete individual songs off of the k2 or kp2's card?

Only way I have found is doing it on thje pc

when i read in the 'maual' not to use your computer to edit the files in the rec. and data folders...it's ok to just delete them individually though? thanks!
