Kaossilator 2 Audio In: Mic on/off toggle?
So I'm wanting to use the ko2 in conjunction with a microkorg so that I can loop things from the microkorg as well as use the Kaossilator for drum loops. So basically the audio output of the microkorg would be going into the kaossilator and the output from the Kaossilator would be going to my speakers.
So I can only get this to work when the Mic on/off button (on the ko2) is held down. Is there a way to toggle the mic on so that it doesn't need to be held down to hear the microkorg?

Wow, that seems like a huge oversight that would have cost next to nothing to fix. Maybe in a firmware update someday?
I'll try to rubber band it and post an image if I have any luck. Seems like it might be tricky to get a rubber band on without obstructing any other buttons like the loop banks or the volume rocker.

Yeah a simple on/off switch for the mic would have worked better. I guess the idea is not to hit it accidentally.
Here is the video with the rubber band. He is using a small clamp as well.

Sorry it's not working out for you.
I'm a much bigger fan of simply multi-track recording the KO2 1 track at a time, if you do that you'll be free to add whatever you like.
It's normal functions and recording capabilities are just a sketch pad for testing sounds and beats in how I use it and in that regard it's perfect for me.
But I realize for some people that defeats the point. Personally I love doing it that way.

Hmm maybe if I run the headphone output into the Kaossilator and then run the regular output into a speaker system in conjunction with the Kaossilator this might actually work.
I'm still glad I bought the Kaossilator. It's a hell of a lot of fun even just by itself and it's going to be awesome for my job (sometimes a lot of meaningless deskwarming) but its frustrating to be so close and yet so far away from working awesomely in conjunction with the microkorg.

This is what I plan to do with my KO2 and monotribe. Monotribe audio out to KO2 mic input, monotribe headphone out to monitors, and KO2 headphone out to monitors.
Still have to hold down two buttons simultaneously to record though, which limits monotribe knob tweaking to just one hand during record.
