What Software

Post by korg-noob »

:D :D :D
Hi All

Recently got myself a fantastic Kaosolator 2 but am finding it a little restrictive in so much that I cant delete samples added to samples etc. What software is out there for me to record samples on to so I can build a couple of decent tracks?

Thanks in advance

Garageband? That's what I mainly use, sometimes fire up Audacity for simple hacking about.

Check out Reaper (http://www.reaper.fm/). It's free to try the full version and $60 if you decide to keep it. I'm not a software guy, but for the KO2 I might have to use a DAW afterall. I need to be able to multitrack record while looping and I don't know of any hardware solutions for that. The Korg SOS is close, but it's not multitrack.

Indeed its a fantastic bit of magic for people wanting to explore music but the ability to multi track, or merge track would be a great help. Ill try both garageband and reaper. thanks.

I'm using an old program from the late 90s (cool edit pro) and it still works great.

And you're right, multi-tracking these things really takes them to the next level. I've recorded an entire album using one this way.
