Korg UK has detailed info and spec. on the pa600. So far I can find no price. I would guess around a thousand GB pounds in the shops, but that's only a guess.

At Bonners music, UK, the pa600 is showing at £799 and the pa600QT AT £879. seems a decent price. Less than I expected.

If that price includes VAT then we should see a price around $1100 in the USA.

Audio spec - 2 X 15 watts when the total input power is spec'd at 20 watts. KORG like many manufacturers likes to play fast and loose with audio output numbers. Actual output is probably more like 2 X 5 watts.

I wonder if 96MB USER PCM actually means 96MB of User Sampling.

Yep, it's Sample RAM.

This is a pretty powerful arranger.

Finally, this is something i am considering getting since i sold my PA3X.
It would be nice if this would be back/forh compatible with PA800/2X and also 3X.
But i dont believe so...thinking...they would've mentioned Sampling same as
on any other Sampling PA, on this is ONLY User PCM which most likely stands
User PCM as buying material expansions from Korg like Balkan, Oriental e tc.

Thanks James.

I was thinking PA600 was more like the next gen PA500, or is it more like an updated PA800??? The price kind of puts it in the PA500 categorey.

Korg did with this the same thing Yamaha has with the PSR A2000 in terms os specs and sample memory (excluding the fact that PA comes in two versions, basic and oriental, while the PSR is just oriental).

Considering Yamaha's online shop for Expansions, Samples, and Styles it remains to be seen what Korg will plan to do in that regard. They gotta step it up in that department, people want something they can upgrade and expand. The user memory is a necesarry stept forward, but its not enough if they don't provide the content for it.

Korg Pa500 was actually a Pa2X Pro without TC Helicon, and Sampler (yes, cheaper box, keys, and screen) for around 800 Euro, it was a bargin!

Now while I am looking at these specifications (and hear all demos) I see that it is the same Pa500 with 96 mb of User PCM Data.
But...
Why suddenly call it User PCM Data instead of User PCM ROM Memory & Sampler (import, export Korg format, Wave, Aiff...)?!
This is NOT a Sample Board as it was in Pa1X, Pa800, Pa2X Pro, and Pa3X, this is something "new".

TC Helicon is just a toy, it can be helpful and interesting I must say, but it has some serious amount of latency, and I will not count it as a necessity while comparing Pa600 to Pa3X.
The same story is with Ambience Drums, they can be nice, but nothing special.
More important thing is Waves MaxxAudio, and Insert Effects that can make a huge difference in Pa3X. MaxxAudio just for room correction as a Master Effect, ad Insert Effects for drum compression,
bass guitar and guitar simulation plugins-effects, and all other studio tricks that can be done with Pa3X to get professional results, far away from that stock (ridiculous) arranger sound (except Ketron Audya of course).
And, at the end Sampler that is probably missing here in Pa600, and 96mb of User PCM for ONLY Korg products prepared for different countries and regions.

If I am right, there is no need to sell the "old" Pa500, and besides that Korg (Yamaha as well) can never make good sounding resources as some aftermarket developer, but if we look at some countries with some special needs and desires (Balkan), there is not possible to make this a success.
This will be a disaster just as Yamaha A2000 was.
Korg can not make good resources for everyone, it is so simple, just as calling Americans to make a good car, or Germans for best design, while everyone knows you need to go to Italy for both.

Korg made the difference because they gave us users the hot potato giving us sampler, so users felt they can sample whatever they want and make finaly good sounding arranger, and sold all their Roland and Yamaha arrangers.
The true is somewhere else because 98% of regular users does not know anything about samplling and their results are ridiculous, but still they have that feeling that they have power in their hands, and that is all that counts (some regions more than other).
Not so good news from Korg...

Alfa: Do you even have the A2000? How did u come to the conclusion that it's a disaster? If it was such a disaster Korg wouldn't addopt the same model with the PA600.

Shefu, PSR2000 is/was a disaster, we all know that, that doesn't mean
PA600 will do bad too...we will wait and see. I can count on my one hand
fingers how many people got the PSR 2000 and trust ME i know A LOT of people.

I think you might mistake it for a different keyboard. The PSR A2000 came out last November. It's like a Tyros3/4 (in terms of styles/samples quality) for Oriental/Eastern European music, with all the expansions you can get from the online Yamaha store. Unless you have documented proof about it being a disaster in terms of sales, simply calling it that is baffling to me.
