Wondering what I need to do to get the Kronos to send CC midi data from the slider drawbars in CX-3 mode out to an external sequencer?

I've had this problem too, cant figure it out either. I would love to be able to automate the drawbars from inside my DAW

You can easily automate any MIDI parameter with your Kronos, either from the internal sequencer as with any DAW (Cubase, Sonar, Logic...)
You can automate any parameter from the "control surface" screen. First record your notes. Take care about the DAW recording set-up: do not use "overwrite" or "replace", but choose "mix" or "add". Then record again, only your controllers moves.
If you want to see how to do it with the internal sequencer of the Kronos, please refer to my tutorial (in french) here:

The setup is quite similar in a DAW.
As every CX3 program has the sliders mapped to control the drawbars in the Control Surface tab, you only have to move your drawbars while you record into your sequencer.

Most DAWs filter sysex by default. Remove that filter on the input and it will record.
I've requested repeatedly for the ability to map the CX3 engine drawbars to MiDICC....making recording/editing easier, but more for being able to use my Voce MiDI Drawbar controller.
The Kurzweil stuff and NI's B4 default mapped them to the Voce standard. Plug it in....adjusts the drawbars.
I bought a Midi Solutions box to do the remapping of the drawbars to sysex...but, it's incompatible with the Voce unit's "power over midi".

this should be easy to do in midi, not sysex. what gives?

I was, frankly, pretty upset...after 15 years of using my Voce MidiDrawbar unit with first the Voce V3...then the Native Instruments B4 (1&2)...then with a Kurzweil Pc2x (for live)...all of which implemented the exact same DEFAULT CCs for the drawbars (since until NI made their own, there was only one midi drawbar unit)...I figured the cx3 engine would use the same as everything else--and thought at worst, I would have to remap their CCs if different...I was floored that the drawbars didn't respond nor was there any WAY to map them to CCs.
Someone familiar with Korg's architecture here gave a reasonable reason they used sysex...I don't remember it off hand--likely something to do with Karma usesge, which I have to say I would give up in a HEARTBEAT to have mappable CCs...
So, I bought the midi solutions box to remap...that was foiled by Voce's non standard power output over midi cable.
Now that they've enabled user sample bank disk streaming, it remains the only thing I would like to see in an update. Anyone who knows who at Korg to log the request with, I'd be appreciative.

Would this work for your MIDI solutions box?

Yes, it should.
And add another box...another midi cable...and now another wall wart...another $50...
