KRONOS CONTACTS

I returned my Kronos 88 for the SSD and RAM upgrade recently and asked for the contacts to be replaced as I sometimes felt that notes were not not being triggered for some key presses.

When I got it back I checked and the contacts had indeed changed colour from pink to blue as mentioned previously! Not sure if this means anything but that was the situation.

I also noticed that if I depressed a key slowly and gently you can feel it first hit the rubber contact (without any sound) and then when you apply even more pressure and squeeze the key downwards the note will eventually sound. This did not seem to happen so obviously with the previous contacts.

That is what I was told as well.
New shipment from Korg, with keybed fixed.

Nevertheless, the unit I got had the cutt of note. The initial solution given to me was to replace my original unit with another one from that "New shipment from Korg, with keybed fixed".

The second one had a faulty keybed as well.

As reported in my case, I can confirm that.
In the end, they changed the contacts of one of them, to the blue ones.

Both of them had originally pink contacts.

On a different note, I thought I'd spend a few hours going through some sounds.

Selected c084 voice/ethnic flute

3 hours later, I realise I'm still on the same sound lol

Pleased you've got the instrument.....and are happy with it !!!!
Time to begin the journey and make some music.(As if you need any encouragement..??..).

You mention the "feel" of the keys, but couldn't describe it (yes,I think we all know what you mean)....
(My description would be....the clunk, followed by the squidgy bit.... :) ).

As I haven't played a hammer action keybed before, am trying to return to the piano style playing which is great in one way,but
somehow odd in another, missed notes etc.(Must practice more....).

Have fun and enjoy it all.

Best Wishes.
