I am brand new to my used C8500

i managed to find a user manual and a service manual. Previous owner said he shippied it then it just would not work. Using the manuals, I have managed to get swome lights flashing but that is it. Can anyone point me to a very preliminary step by step manual for start up? I don't even really know how to turn it on if it was perfectly good.
