Great to see Kronos quickfixes between major updates

Post by jimknopf »

Just want to say thank you to the Korg team for putting quickfixes online, like the new version 2.0.6 adressing minor bugs. This is much better from my view than having to wait for the next major update!

Major update? What are you talking about?
2.0.x will be the last one. We get only patches.

The good things will go into the Krome XL. :( :x

At least I expect one new synth engine. What about some real digital - like additive synthesis? I hope Korg supports Kronos like Access Virus :!:

Additive would be interesting, but what I'd personally like to see would be a MonoPoly-EX, with the four oscillators mixable via joystick. Shouldn't be too unreasonable for Korg's developers, either, since the Legacy MonoPoly code already exists.

Be nice to see the Kronos actually use that vector joystick for, y'know, vector synthesis, in the classic style.

I dare to challenge this view. If you want I'll send you a bottle of wine when you are proven right. And you send me one when we see one more major update for the present Kronos (no matter if it also will serve a future Kronos XL). With major update I mean one adding some useful functionality (like for the sequencer or sampling, or a possible engine etc.)

Now come on, Dan and team, and don't leave me stumbling ;-)

Since the Kronos is computer based, how about being able to load in soft synths like Omnisphere and run in combination with all of Kronos. That would be an update! Not sure if that is even possible but Muse Receptor dose it so maybe?
Korg Kronos 61, Korg Triton 61, Casio PX-5S, Alessis Vortex Wireless, Toshiba Satellite I7 8G RAM, Presonus Firepod, Sonar X3 Producer, Behringer Truth B2031A Ones I have had and probably should of kept: Univox EL Piano, Arp Axxe, Hammond L-100 w/ 910 Leslie, Minimoog, DX7, Kawai SX210 but like most of us I needed the cash!

Definitely no: the Kronos was not built to be a VSTi Host, and I can't imagine that this will ever happen.
With Muse Receptor it's the other way round: it was built to be nothing but a VSTi host.
