Great video.
Sharp - would love to know what programme you used to do the video and what the system requirements are. Also, do you bring stock footage into that programme (the Earth etc) and manipulate it accordingly?

Choirs and lead vocals - veeery nice! The ending (04:06 - 04:27) like Vangelis (1492 or Bounty) - inspiring.

lol... unfortunately, everything I'm about to say will only take the gloss off the video. None of it's real footage, it's all 3D rendering and by today’s standards it's also very poor. Some of it's old crap I made ages ago, some I even got from the net back many many years ago when I was starting to learn how to do 3D Modelling. It was a pay for download service, so I own the rights to use it.

The 3D rendering I can do today is in another league altogether. The tools I use are Cinema 4D and Vue Infinity. I model in Cinema 4D and render in vue.

The reason why I didn't render the video above using my moderen software is simple down to the fact that it would take forever. Modelling and setting up a scene in 3D is fast enough, but when it comes to rendering animation you need a chain of computers, or you need to send your animation to a render farm. Which costs money.

I have 5 PC's in a chain just for rendering still images (1 very fast machine, and 4 old laptops) and it can still take them many hours, sometimes even days to render a single image.

Hi guys.
This might mean nothing to most but after YouTube re-encoded my video the frame rate was jerky and it was annoying me. Here in the EU we use PAL video format at 25fps, but it seems YouTube prefers my video at NTSC.

So.... I've actually rendered the entire animation again just to get it perfectly smooth.

Here's the new version, and I'm going to pull the original one above.

Sorry, but it was just bugging me. Much happier now.

James.
