Hi Guys,
My 88 has been back to korg, one of the reasons is that I cannot reach velocity 127 on curve 4 or 9. I can get to about 118 be really hitting it hard.
Korg have returned it to the dealer saying there was nothing wrong with it and they can get to 127.
The dealer has also kindly tested it for me and could only get to 120 on curve 9.
Is this normal like Korg say? It seems weird as many multi-samples are triggered at top ranges of velocity that cannot be reached!
Any info would be appreciated.
Andy

I don't think it's just the 88 that has velocity problems. With the 61 it tends to max out at 117 without really hammering it... if I change the scaling to 9 for achieving full velocity, the keybed response seems very unnatural.
I know there's an app for Windows somewhere that allows you to change the response and curve of any keyboard velocity scaling (in real time via a midi loop, with local off), but I've not seen anything like this for OSX.
I tend to end up re-adjusting maximum velocity levels in Logic when needed, but that's time consuming

Agreed.QuiRobinez wrote:Yes,BobTheDog wrote:
3. Qui saying he can easily reach 127 without playing too hard.
But the difference is that i got a complete new set of keys in my kronos (different feel also of the keys) instead of the changed rubbers, so maybe this is a difference between the models
