Speaking for myself; I'm a beekeeper; so my summer is spent doing just that.

Also I've had no urgent need to upgrade as my Kronos & KARMA are working perfectly, for everything I want to do.

However the nights are drawing in, my new PC and system is installed and the time has come to upgrade many things. Thus I anticipate I won't be getting asked this (no doubt well-intentioned) question yet again; at least not until OS.3.0 is released

I also don't understand why people don't upgrade. A lot of people were complaining about bugs already solved I can remember from before OS1.5 and since OS1.5 a lot of features have been added.

Agreed with Michel. There is no justification for not running OS 2.0.6.

Does there need to be? :?

What justification is there for upgrading when its perfectly stable and does everything I currently want it to do (with no bugs and glitches)?

There can be several reasons:
- removal of bugs, even if you haven't seen them (yet), like prevented crashes or glitches
- addition of features you don't know about but you might like (or high likely like)
- changes in PCG file format making those files less compatible with other PCG files (bit unlikely but a theorethical reason)
- performance improvements which are not noticable immediately

Nobody's forcing anyone to run a specific OS.

However, besides what Michel rightly points out, v2.0.6 has been out for a while now, so we'd know if this version was causing problems. For me, it's been very stable. If having a stable system is your main objective, then running OS 2.0.6 should provide that. Considering newer OS are primarily released because of fixed bugs, it makes sense to run the latest version.

Furthermore, compared with 1.6, version 2 introduced sample streaming for libraries other than Korg's, and that makes a huge difference to the usability of the Kronos; if you use samples that is!
