Fellow Kronos-ers...
I've downloaded 2.0.6 gone through the whole process
screen says updater file has been found..I press ok and then NOTHING happens..FREZE
It says updater version 2.0.6 but NOTHING HAPPENS
I went back and tried 2.0.2 same thing!!
I'm trying to get the new K sounds acoustic guitar but can't do it unless I upgrade to 2.0 currently have 1.6 in
I copy onto my FAT formatted USB device
install
pre tar
post tar
and the zip file
I go to global.. update software
hit ok it sees it and then FREEZE
any ideas..I'm going on 5 hours now
I tried decompresing the file with stuffit (it turns into MT or something)
then I saw somewhere that you don't have to decompress the file
Any help would be so appreciated
thank you

Did you copy all the files including manuals? If you did everything according to the instructions then the next thing I would try is another USB Thumb Drive

Also make sure the thumb stick was formated with the Kronos.

Also, if nothing works as it should after reading the various threads here, remember that not all USB sticks are created equal. Even after making sure that I had formated it as FAT32, the Kronos never liked that particular stick and I had to start using another stick in the end. After that, no problem whatsoever.
So it's also worth trying another stick.

after countless attempts, thanks to your advice , it worked!!
I formatted my USB device on the Kronos and VOILA!!!!
Now I can "give back"
to the gentleman looking to know how to format on the KORG
press DISK on the KORG
then press the utility tab on the bottom
then press the top right drop down menu and touch FORMAT
choose FAT 32....
thanks again to all that helped!!!

Good to see you got it fixed.
I suggest to edit the title of your opening post to reflect this.

Ouch- You forgot to tell him to use "drive select" to select the appropriate drive! Hopefully he didn't format the SSD- unless that is what he is wanting to do.
