OKay here 's a question..
Can you somehow load some of the LOGIC samples into the Kronos

I love the pop horn sample in LOGIC, would love to uses it live off the Kronos

Im terrible at sampling (the whole velocity/mapping thing never works for me.

They are exs files.

What is the best way to do this? or is sampling the only way to go?

You could try a sample conversion program that will convert the sound from an exes to a sf2.... Then load it into the Kronos that way...

Though I've never used it, Translater Pro is OS X compatible, and works with EXS-24 formats.

I use Translator on the Mac. Which EXS file(s) are you specifically hoping to convert? I can try it out to see how if works OK.

Would be interested in the results and how automated it is. I have done a few manually and it is a time killer.

Well I found one in the GargeBand folder called Pop Horn Section. I was able to bring that over with no real issues. Is that the one you're thinking of? That's why I ask for the specific name. These files are located deep in the OSX library.

I will check that this afternoon..It is in LOGIC 9. either "studio horns" or "pop horn section"

will let you know// Would love to be able to use that live off the Kronos. It sounds great on recordings and i don't think Kronos has a horn section patch that is as good..

thanks

If you can find the .exe file on your system, please provide the exact path. I have the patch in Logic and it plays fine, but I can't find "studio horns.exe" on my system. Again, exact path. I test how well it translates.

I think Studio Horns is actually a channel strip. It calls up the Horn Section.exs - maybe that will help.
