Hi. First of all, my english is so bad. I guess you understand me.
So.. I have the same problem of this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CsbdgiHsyTk
I see the guy from the video posted the problem here and he fixed the problem. But i didnt have the same luck. I tried the uptade of firmware (2.0), i tried calibrate many times, but the problem continues. A few times the KP3 stays ok. The screen works perfectly and the lights follow the fingers, but a few seconds after, the problem come back.
I open the KP just for see inside, cause i undertand not so much about electronic. But i see a cable disconnected. Anyone knows if it is right?

First, go through the touchpad calibration process.

caos on my kaoss!!
Thanks for the reply, xlmguy!
I already done that through command "bottom 8 + tap/range". I also updated the firmwarw (2.0 version).
It didn't work :/
I don't know what else to do anymore. Can you please take a look at the picture that I took? There's a loose cable, I think it might has something to do with it.
Can you help me?

The loose wire may be just a grounding wire to the case that was disconnected when the previous owner opened it up to look inside. If the calibration doesn't work, then it's very likely that the pad has been physically damaged and needs to be replaced. It could be registering a constant contact somewhere on the pad. Is part of the pad lighted at all times? Have you checked for any debris that might be caught between the bezel and the pad? Use a brush around the edges to see if you can dislodge anything that may be stuck. Is there any indentation that you can see on the pad with a bright light?

First of all, I apreciate your help. Thanks, bro!
I think probably the wire I see is a grounding wire really.
Im still wanting to discover this problem, but the kp3 is working perfectly since the friday night.
But the problem was exactly the same of the video of the link i posted. Sometimes when i put a finger at the pad, the lights turn on above, nearly the high edge of the pad. The effects follow the lights, not the finger, and it limits 90% of the kaoss pad effects. I used the brush to clean any thing that could be there.
So.. Like I told you, now the kp3 is ok. If the problem appears again, i think i will have to take it to the assistance. What do you think?
