Help requested

Can someone please spend 5 minutes to help me finishing a part of my free application PCG Tools.

Can you change the first timbre (program) of combi A000 to GM057, save the complete PCG file and email it (michelkeijzers@hotmail.com)

It takes just 5 minutes, maybe less. It doesn't mind what the original programs/combis are, I just want to check how the reference from a combi to a GM bank looks like.

Thanks in advance.

What is a GM bank and GM057 on a Trinity?

To my surprise I see now that the Trinity has no GM bank.

Sorry for asking but you lead me to the right source :-)

:)
Glad it helped. I felt stupid not knowing after 15 years of Trinity what the GM bank was... ;)

I didn't use realtime control until I bought a new synthesizer ... and found out the previous had that feature too.

RE: Trin GM - seems to me that I recall a Korg engineered GM bank being produced for the Trinity, but I believe it was a .pcg file rather than a separate board/bank. I could be wrong in the particulars, but absolutely remember that there was some type of way to get GM compatibility.

You are perfectly right ... I think it can be downloaded from Korg. It contains a program bank with the programs in the same order as a GM bank so can be used for playing GM songs.

Hello,

Do you still need help ?
Do you have the Trinity PCG file format specifications ? I could give it to you, if needed.

Hello Xavier,

I have all sort it out ... however, if you have the (complete) PCG file format specifications, I would gladly like to receive it (to double check and more important: later additions).

My email is michelkeijzers@hotmail.com

Thank you!

Wish I had them before I started, that would save me some analyzing PCG files hours.

However, it has a lot of valuable things I didn't know ... and more important: I probably made a mistake regarding programs copying between M and S banks (because it seems one has 521 byte programs, and the other has 530 however I didn't see this change in real PCG files).
