Question about loading samples

I just bought the K-Sounds Classical Nylon Guitar and loaded it into my Kronos X. It was put into the User-G bank. The guitars worked, but some of my pianos would no longer play. I went back and reloaded the Korg Factory file and the pianos work again but the K-Sounds guitars won't play. What am I doing wrong?

wouldnt it be nice if you could just simply tell the kronos what samples you want where without all this confusion?

I believe you need to go into GLobal and check your auto load settings.
I wish I could be of more help, but I just mess around until it works out.

I'm sure theres someone on this board that will be able to explain it

Good luck

Are you liking the k sounds guitar? I have it and like it

Yes, I like the K-Sounds guitar. It sounds really nice. I just wish I could use it along with my pianos. Maybe someone on here will have the answer. I'll just keep messing with it. I'm just afraid I'm going to screw something up on the Kronos and not be able to fix it. When I loaded the K-Sounds guitar, it went into Bank U-G and replaced some things that were labeled Init Program. I thought maybe that had something to do with the pianos not working. I was going to reload these Init Program things, but they are not on the CD's that came with the Kronos. According to everything I've read, bank U-G should have been empty. So, I'm not sure what Init Program is, if I need it, and where to get it if I do need it. Anyway, thanks for your reply and I'll try what you suggested in the global settings.

If you load the guitar KSC with CLEAR ALL selected it will in fact CLEAR ALL of RAM including PRELOAD.KSC which includes the pianos. If instead you use the APPEND option, PRELOAD will remain in RAM. I don't know how much RAM you have nor how much the guitar takes so I can't say if the APPEND option is going to work for you without unloading somethings from PRELOAD.

Thanks for responding, Busch. I did finally figure out that I needed to check the append box and that fixed the problem. I didn't have to unload any of the preloads. I really appreciate the help.
