your answer will decide whether i get an emx:
does the lfo modulate only one parameter at a time, or can it modulate different parameters simultaneously, with each parameter having a different depth setting?
thx

Just one per part, that's why there's the destination button that controls which variable will be lit up. Don't forget though that you get 24 Motion Sequences per pattern, so you could just motion sequence other variables.

you motion sequence whatever you want and if you drop the tempo way down while recording the knob motion you can probably get a pretty consistent sin/tri wave atleast.. but you aren't limited to a carrier wave; you can do whatever even steppy-modulation by step editing the motion sequence
ALSO.... if you sacrifice a synth part you can bus stuff back into the EMX and use a second LFO + filter.

how is this done?

Best option is bussing the parts you want out of the 3/4 outputs then using a 1/4 inch mono cable to patch the 3 or 4 output back into the input (input is mono so its either 3 or 4) then selecting one synth part as "audio-in + comb' then that audio-in part allows you to use the synth section (filter drive, resonance etc) and LFO of that part to modulate the parts your bussing back into itself. At the same time you can add an FX pedal or something before you patch the signal back into the EMX.
