It's arrived!! First real question

Post by shaneblyth »

It's arrived and I had a little play but had to go to work .. eh.
My first question is in regards to program mode.
I see sounds like 011 the japanese grand and strings has 2 engines running which i didnt realise in program mode was possible. My question is I cant figure a quick way to adjust the mix between the piano sound and the strings. I assumed i could somehow do it from the sliders on the front panel rather than delving into the software. Any help as this surprised me I thought I'd have to go for combi mode and I am a bit of a Piano with a strings layer nut so this is very nice indeed.

thanks

I am not sure which patch you are referring to but I would use the second joystick to go between sounds.

Switch the control surface to timbre/track using the button to the left of all the knobs and sliders. Slider 1=timbre 1, slider 2=timbre 2, slider 3=drum track.

ahh funny I was sure I tried that but it is working now so thanks. Now is there a way to save that with the program so when i switch to it it is auto lit in timbre/track mode?

I am sure enjoying this just got back from work and been getting the sound in the room right and fiddling with a few piano and electric piano sounds very impressed indeed.
Thanks

Just make sure timbre/track is selected when you save the program. Then it will get restored that way when you switch to it.

food eaten soul eaten Kronos X as in Xcellent. Kronosland sounds like a Bruce Springsteen song LOL. (Thunderland)
I was very careful and checking the unit testing each key from slow to hard and it seems solid and am impressed the quality is really good, only thing I'd change if I was Korg is the plastic looking Jog wheel but it works fine.
