I find myself spending a significant amount of time playing around with these combis and programs in the demo loaded in my X. Was it ever determined if there is a way to transfer them to a new board if you trade or replace the board they were loaded on? Naturally they would be removed from the board you are leaving behind. I do not mean this to be used to swap boards at will but if you move up to a different board like leaving my x61 for an x88 or you had a component failure and needed a replacement etc.
Thanks Bertotti

You have to buy it again if you get another Kronos.

Well If that is the case I won't buy it in the first place. I wonder has anyone actually contacted korg to find out what the pro was would be if a instrument failure caused you to lose the Exs? I find it hard to believe they wouldn't have a process in place.

You can always recover the EXs you've bought even if the SSD gets totally bricked. This is because the Public ID will be the same.
If you get other Kronos, it'll have other Public ID and therefore you can't authorize the EXs there.

I bought the Karo stage piano and when I sold my Kronos 61 to get a 73 Kronos X I ended up losing the Karo Stage Piano. I did e-mail Karo asking for a discount which of course I never did hear from them. While I was aware of this policy I still think IMHO that it's lame.

Well I agree that not being able to move your purchase to a new board is wrong, provided you remove from your first board first so it is t available there it shouldn't be a problem. NI has let me move their products from an old computer to a new. But I may consider it anyway I doubt Inwould get rid of this board and as long as it is recoverable should the the board have a catastrophic failure. I'm ok with that.
