Piano Sound Libraries

Post by awyatt1 »

I'm looking to get some extra piano libraries. I was just wondering what sets some of the forum readers have tried and what they thought of them.

Regarding Austrian Piano:  I was appalled....

Search the forum for other libraries: free and commercial.

Qui Robinez programmed some excellent pianos in his Dream Pianos Collection. That sound set is very reasonably priced. You can find it on his site here: http://www.quirobinez.nl

I checked out the demo video for Dream Pianos. I definitely want to get that set.

awayatt1,
I recommend getting Qui's Dream Pianos Collection, I just purchased it myself and the quality from Qui's collections are tremendous.

I purchased the Dream Pianos Collection from Qui Robinez today and it sounds fantastic. Well worth the 25 bucks. I tried the Korg Austrian Pianos demo and it was just OK to me. For $250, I can live without that set.

The Austrian (Boesendorfer) is the by far most useful of all I know, besides the really nice preset collection from Qui.

The Boesendorfer is no solo piano, so you will not be overwhelmed in comparison with the Kronos German grand if you demo it like that.
It is a band context piano with a lot of attack, cutting through a band sound or a mix better than any other Kronos piano I know, and in band context great for anything from Jazz to Rock. Though expensive, to me it is worth every penny, because it delvers something I have not been able to get from any other Kronos piano so far.
Kronos 73 - Moog Voyager RME - Moog LP TE - Behringer Model D - Prophet 6 - Roland Jupiter Xm - Rhodes Stage 73 Mk I - Elektron Analog Rytm MkII - Roland TR-6s - Cubase 12 Pro + Groove Agent 5
