Hey,
I'm probably a bit older than the average noob... 33... Married with kid (9)
Recently I've found that I can only really stand to listen to 90's HipHop, classical and jazz...
I tend to struggle with today's 'Pop-Hop' but am finding some decent UK-HipHop...
I'd like to start with a 90's (Tribe Called Quest) kinda sound and then take it my own way...
I played and sang in rock'n'roll bands as a youth but no real experience in creating electronic music or making it solo...
I like the idea of being able to play live and have been researching methods I can create beats/music... The electribe samplers (either the es-1 or the newer esx) look like a good in-route for what I'd like to do...
I also have ideas of being able to incorporate hip-hop beats into my creative theatre practice...
Anyway... Cheers!
Dave
