I may be setting myself up for naysayers, but I'm throwing this out there because I thought it was a good idea. My Kronos/SV-1 stack kept me from having a music stand for piano stuff at home, so I devised this prosthesis for the Kronos. I saw that the Kronos has 3/4 on each side of the screen and clearance in the back, so I put this together with 3/4" moulding, 3/8" plywood, and self-adhesive weather stripping. The rear joints have metal L-brackets under the weather seal. It weighs almost nothing and is supported by the back, front panel and the lip in front of the keybed. I don't have a proper workshop; this is the best I could do with a drill, miter box and circular saw. Cost=$17

I think that's great! It might not be the prettiest stand in the world but it's a great job. It's functional, looks sturdy and the Kronos is protected from being scratched. A coat of paint or varnish might be a nice touch. I wish I could build stuff like that. I'd save myself a lot of money.

I never thought of building something. I just bought a good adjustable music stand. More than $17 though.

Considering you need a Kronos to make it work, it is slightly more expensive than $17!

Right, world's most expensive music stand. But it has been frustrating thinking of a way to do this without moving the Kronos around just to play sheet music on the SV-1. Maybe I should have made a baseball cap with attached music holder!

You might be able to use a Sheet Music Holder for Microphone Stands like this ...

You also might be able to use a tablet mounting system like this ...

Or rig up something to a beer bong hat

I should have included what they were in my previous post, sorry about that. You can try to google them for an alternate link.
The music stand is a K&M 115/2 Sheet Music Holder.
The tablet mount is an On-Stage Stands u-mount Tablet Mounting System.

Very inventive - I might have to go with that route, I'd have to adapt it to having my MX49 on top, though - as my Korg is on bottom (being the 88 key behemoth it is)

I like my iKlip 2 for my iPad. But it cost a bit more.
