Velocity intensity settings for piano sgx.

Plus values decreases the effect and minus values increases it……Is this correct ?

Thanks.

I don't know... maybe you can see the parameter as the actual force (intensity) you need to make the piano sound louder... So if you increase the velocity intensity, you have to play harder to achieve louder sound...

Thanks for the reply,I can understand what you mean.

It is the effect I'm having, but would like to know if other owners are getting the same response with the actual values.

(ie...need to play harder with plus values etc).

Best Wishes.

Here ye go :-

Also, in Global Mode I have set the velocity sensitivity to 9 - this is a perfect velocity curve for piano.

I hope this helps.....

Excellent reply,Kaptainkeyboard.....the exact info I needed.
Thank you!

Would you believe I saw that video some time ago, before getting the Kronos, but forgot about it.... :)

The reason I wanted to know was just to make sure there's nothing else wrong with my instrument....already having keybed velocity problems (pending a repair).
Going through various settings trying to offset the basic fault, with very limited success overall, though.

I agree the velocity number 9 is best suited for piano playing.
However, sometimes the number 2 is better for me.....which minimizes the fault to a degree(Yes,I am a heavy handed piano player :) ).

Time to experiment some more perhaps, now that I understand the velocity intensity part.

Best Wishes.
