Cool please let us know what you decide on. I'm always curious how others hear things. I really like the I ear idea and googled the ones listed by Sanderxpander. I won't be going that route anytime soon but I can see the benefit. I spend more time I. Headphones then on my speakers just because of all the other people around.

Just an update for you if your thinking of the k10 QSC. I have mine on pa stands now and find the way Intweaked sounds with headphones and with the speakers on the floor is better then on the stands. I will have to tweak my sounds differently when they are on the stands. I also noted that the pipe organ I like, in the lower registers lacks some. I assume it is because I am using the two 10" speakers and no sub. Just an FYI, much of which you guys probably already worked around.

These are really nice! I'd love the hear the Kronos on them. I've read reviews complaining about the lack of bass thought.

Not sure what to think.

Your bassist would be happy - you'd not be stepping into his lowest freq range and/or muddying up the stage mix

I agree, good bottom is nice for playing solo or at home, but not in a full band mix.

That would be why they make subs and mixers, right? Tweak things for band or solo. I am asking be ause that is how I per dive it but have not played in a band. Wifey says music is my midlife crisis. Can't go the Bike route, been riding my whole life! Lol

Those peavey are very nice! You should try to find some to hear.

Ricky and SanderXpander:

Yes I understand.

There are only few places where I need those bass (moog Taurus). We never had any issues with that and it appears I'm not getting on his turf with my usual timbers.

All my other parts are mostly mid to high keys.

It would be nice at home too!

Next time I drop by my usual music store I'll check it out. I would have loved to hear them with my Kronos thought. Perhaps I should bring it along!

Ah right. Yeah that's quite a special case. There's synthbass in a couple of my bands, but it's always almost played by the bass player. The times I played it, there was no other bass player and I ran my Voyager through a bass amp. Makes a huge difference in the sound, no matter how much bass my RCF 722 monitor has.

I have a few different set ups that I use depending on the gig. I run mono right now because generally the P.A. is mono and we only have one monitor feed. In my duo I just take my small Yorkville Sound Y110. It's small and light. It doesn't handle a lot of power but I only use it in the duo. I bought it used for $50! Her in Canada you see bands using a lot of Yorkville equipment. It's cheap, well built and sounds good.
For my metal band I have a custom made floor wedge and use my small P.A. head. I run my Kronos in mono, my guitar pedal and vocal through it and send a submix out to the mains.
My country band has it's own P.A. so i just use that with it's own monitor system.
If music is the food of love, play on and play loud!
Gear: Kronos 73, Wavestation EX, Polysix, King Korg, Monotron and Monotron Duo, Minikorg, Moog Grandmother, my very old MiniKorg, 4 acoustic and 9 electric guitars, 1 Ibanez 5 string bass, a Steel guitar, a bunch of microphones, 2 pairs of studio monitors and other very cool toys, 1 wife and 4 cats and a lava lamp!
