Can the PolysixEX Arpeggiator be fed into other synth engines (for realtime arpeggiation)?

you can route Polysix timbre output back to another EXi timbre (to EXi audio input) and use that (with engines that can use audio in - AL-1, STR-1, MS20-EX, MOD-7) in COMBI or SEQ mode.

I meant - the arpeggiator note events, either as polysix internal format note events or as MIDI note events?

You may need to check if the Arpeggiator generates MIDI events (use Seq mode or plug other synth with MIDI). If that's the case, you may try building a Combi where the Polisyx is on Gch and the controlled timbres on a different MIDI Channel. Then, you use KARMA to redirect the MIDI output of Polisyx (Arpeggiator) to the controlled Timbres.

OK, Polysix ARP does not generate MIDI events and I do not see way to use its "internal format".

i was wondering the same thing, would be great to use it for other EXI instruments...maybe korg in a future update could do this?

Karma can be so complicated, sometimes i just want a simple arpeggiator.

but the first 32 KARMA patterns are very simple standard arpeggiator patterns including the simple up / down arps. The polysix arp can't be used for other engines, but honestly I don't see why you couldn't use KARMA for that. The only thing you need to know are the basics of note range. See my tutorial for how to start with simple arpeggiators.

What part do you find complex? Please let me know, maybe I could create a more clearer tutorial in that case.

for instance for a simple Arpeggiator that plays notes up select the KARMA arpeggiator: 002 Arp Model 3 Up, then limit the note range to value 50 and then you have a standard up arp. With the duration slider you can determine how long the notes sound.
