Nave last week and now this gem, and here I thought I was done buying new apps for a month or two. :D
I just purchased it in the app store this morning and it is a huge beast just like Nave.
Comes with something like 1000 presets and is extremely tweakable. Simply amazing for 15 bucks american is all I can say. Make sure to give it a look.

Another iPad app that looks pretty cool. Must resist ... Resistance is futile ... Will end up downloading tonight.

Is there a manual to download or is it just online help?

I've not looked for a manual as the tutorials for this are great. There is a multi part(17) I think, tutorial on Youtube for the same synth as it is used in reason that also applies to the IOS verson. Here is the full 47 minute tutorial that I just found( I think it is the same one just not in parts.

I know what you mean about buying apps, I just picked up Cubasis which is a million times better than Garage band that I was previously using until Sunday, and I picked up the Polystep sequencer while I was at it which is also very cool.
I told myself I had everything I needed for awhile but when I saw this I could just not resist.
Damn I am glad I was weak though, this is a really great synth and will no doubt be yet one more of my go to synths for use in Cubasis. :D

This does look hard to resist.

Can one have negative spare time?

A few patches struggle but the majority work fine on my iPad 2. Thor crashed on me once, and a key on the onscreen keyboard got stuck, had to exit and reinstantiate. Haven't tried it yet on my original iPads, but Thor's system requirements specify iPad, so we'll see.

I have an iPad 4 and I had a key get stuck too so that is a common problem. I just changed patches a few times to clear the problem.

Might be me, but after listening to the demo patches it doesn't sound like it offers anything that most rudimentary stuff doesn't already cover. It sounds really twee and gimmicky.

It sounds sweet in fact and has incredible tweakability. I have looked very hard and see nothing, twee about it  In fact it is pretty massive and full of incredibly useful sounds and abilities.

I am fairly sure that Thor will be a must have in our IOS arsenal much as Sunrizer, and Alchemy have already become.

One thing I like so far is that there are prests from Two Lone Swordsmen & Plaid. Cool! :-)

Strange issue: neither Thor nor Nave show up as an icon on my iPad. I do however find them when doing a search for them - that is, they show up on the list, and the app starts.

What's going on here?

I do not have that problem with either Nave or Thor, however I did have the same thing happen to me with a game I downloaded yesterday and I was wondering the same thing. :?
