For monitoring the generated sound of midi parts being sent to the Kronos you need an audio track with the correct inputs selected and input monitoring enabled.

If that's not what you mean you'll have to explain exactly what you have set up.

hi, i guess what i am trying to say is you had suggested using either combi or sequence for multiple voices playing at once on multiple midi channels into ableton.

so i set up a sequence and choose different program sounds for the first three tracks and then i had them going to midi channel 1, 2, 3

on ableton i have those midi channels selected on the audio tracks that coincide with the midi tracks i created on ableton and have the ext inst. triggering the audio tracks and am monitoring them but all i seem to get is the first midi channel voice.

i have my l/r outs on the kronos going to my saffire interface and it works fine when i am doing individual tracks/voices but i can't seem to get 3 to play at the same time.
ableton live 9 suite
korg kronos 61
focusrite saffire dsp24
fender strat and assorted guitars

Right no you need only one audio track, it doesn't matter which midi track you select on there. You need three midi tracks each sending to the Kronos on different midi channels. Might I also respectfully suggest trying to read up a bit on midi? Googling the basics might be a good start.
