damn you korg, i just had to buy the KP3, since noone else has this xy pad. i bought the 'plus' because the price difference wasnt that big, and i dont think korg will update the kp3 (without "+") anymore. but some things come to mind.

first of all, does anyone know if korg answers feature requests? im a guitarist, and i want to use the KP3+ with my guitar. what i noticed is just how nuisance it is to have to hold "shift" and then "sampling" to resample things. since 'shift' doesnt do anything by itslef, why not allow the user to change its behavior through a new 'shift' function (like the 4 different trigering functions), where you simply click it once and then click sampling (without holding anything). itd make the KP3 a much much better product for guitarists.

second, can someone tell me if theres a way to keep recording while in the loop, without having to arm the recording bank again? i mean, i recorded a 8 beats lenght phrase, but i want to overdub it, keep recording over and over the same phrase; is this possible? [EDIT: sorry, just read it now in another thread that its not possible]

For my guitar work I went with the Kaossilator Pro. It really is the best Stereo Looper in town.

In one box I got a drum machine, a bass, a synth, quite literally a complete band replacement (if you now how to set it up) and the most important part...the 4 track sound on sound looper. Combine that with an FCB1010 foot controller, a midi splitter and your new KP3, you have an awesome one man band system.

It means putting more money into what you have but it is well worth it.

The KP3 is only a sampler. The sample and resample process is a bit annoying but I get around that. When trying to take advantage of the cool way to control sound with my KP3 I found my self still using my BOSS DD-20 giga delays sound on sound looper. So when the Kaossilator pro came out and learned about it's looping abilites I had to get one. It replaced the DD-20 to which I sold.

thanks for your suggestion, somewhile ago i bought a kaossilator 2, just for fun, since its impossible to use it live. but the KPro is too big and too expensive for me, i used to have a DD20 too (great pedal btw), but i replaced it for a tc electronics' flashback, mostly due to the size.

SMK, do you think korg would answer if many of us asked for some features? cause even as a sampler KP3 isnt guitar friendly, and for the dumbest reason of them all, because the program is very limited (for no reason, not really a harware problem there). or do you know if it usually takes too long for them to release frimware upgrades?
