Is a Master keyboard a useful addition?

I already own a Kurzweil K1200 Pro 88 which is a synthesiser/master keyboard. The (non GM) preset voices were great in its day but I don't think I would need any of them after I get my PA3x. The K1200 can have two splits so three sections across its 88 keys.

That said would using it as a Master keyboard be useful if midi connected to the PA3x? How would it be useful?

If you like/prefer/need the "weighted" feel and also extra keys for your playing style, then it would be worth keeping.
You will however need to confirm its MIDI capability and consider whether joystick and aftertouch is going to work (if needed).

Am I correct that the midi connected K1200 would not be able to trigger any PA3x auto-chord functions, i.e. by replicating (if that is possible) the lower split of the PA3x?

Never needed to do it but I am pretty sure you can do this using the Global MIDI channel
