KP3 Help, please. Can't sample. =(

I bought a used Kaoss Pad KP3. I am having an issue with it looping/sampling. I have read the guide, watched youtube videos, can't get the thing to loop. When I try the factory reset i've seen floating in the internet, it doesn't respond to the input. I've plugged it in, lights up, drums and synth patches produce sound but I can't get them to record to the sample banks. I want to know if anyone has any ideas or maybe I should just return it. =(

Is the little peak indicator light doing anything? The one that goes from green to yellow to red should at least be green if it's getting any input. If it's not, even when you jiggle or re-plug the cords in the back, confirm that your input source switch is set to Line, then perhaps set the switch on the back to "Direct". The top knob in the left should be turned all the way to the right as well.
If the LED does respond, you may simply have the sample playback level turned down. If you've recorded to the bank and it's orange, make sure the left slider is turned all the way up, cause if it's all the way down it'll be silenced. Try these and get back to us if you're still having issues.
