I was born and raised in Cambridge (the UK version). I'm now retired and living in the red rock desert of southern Utah, having arrived here via Nottingham, the Peak District, Switzerland and southern California!
I took a few piano lessons as a kid but had the creativity stifled out of me until I bought a secondhand single manual Vox Continental as a teenager. Unfortunately, I sold it when I went away to uni and had to wait about 30 years before buying another keyboard - a Korg Karma in 2001! After straying from the Korg fold for a few years, I recently sold an Andromeda and a DSI Evolver desktop to fund my latest synth - a Kronos X 88 which arrived today
. I hope this is as enjoyable and long-lasting as the Karma, which is still going strong.I mainly play for my own amusement/therapy but have also started to dabble in providing incidental music and sounds for local theatrical productions.
These are great forums and I hope to participate fully - and provide answers, not just ask questions!
