No I'm going to rind them on Thursday if they don't get in touch with me before to see if it's gone to korg.

Thanks for the update...although not good news.
I would have expected its return by now,but it is the way of such things.
As said,I'm about to follow a similar route with sending my own Kronos for repair (Korg UK etc) and am interested in your results.
Keep us posted,please.

.
Does the courier company charge per mile?
no wonder it's been away 2 weeks if they used the M6 to get to MK from Sheffield.....
you'd probably have it back by now if he'd taken the M1...lol

Well I decide that If I had only one year left of my warranty on my kronos it was time to sort out the keybed. So I've sent my Kronos 73 back to the dealer to have the very early keybed checked and then hopefully sent back to korg for replacement keybed.
The spacing of the keys very irregular and I get key bouncing when play piano at the high end.
When programming the kronos sometimes freezes most annoying.

Well done, mate.

Well I had a noisy fan and they replaced it with an even noisier one.
My Keybed is badly spaced and has a bad velocity range and they told me it was normal.

Sent an email Korg UK yesterday asking them how they were going on with fixing my Kronos
This was there reply
Having checked, the repair was completed yesterday and the engineer's notes are as follows:-
Key contact & front bar issue. .(Not sure what this means)
Possible corrupted OS data ( Bit Vague )
Reformatted & installed latest OS. ( Had the latest anyway)
Soak tested.
So it has been sent back to Sheffield and I will let you all know when it arrives back to me.

Fingers crossed then. Sounds like they have replaced the contacts anyway.

Yes...Good Luck with this,hope it's sorted.
I think the front bar issue may be related to some sort of key fouling.
Key contacts probably refer to the rubber strips.(As Bob mentions).
The corrupted O/S would be cured with the reformat and re install etc.
Hope you saved your own data...????
As for the "soak test"....one can only guess...
Best Wishes.
