In the past I have tried Synthogy Ivory. Anyone know how the PA3x piano sounds compare to the new Ivory II?

Already compared to Ivory I ... there is comparison at all ...

Do you expect a 50 Gb Vsti of the best ever pianos to be compared with a few Mb piano of Pa3X or Tyros4 or even KronosX ?

So I guess spending another 200 UK Pounds on top of the 3200 UKP for the PA3x will be worth the extra sounds.
This will allow me to play Ivory II through the PA3x (when bought) or my 88 Key Kurzweil 1200 Pro.

Pianoteq is in my opinion an infinitely better choice that any sample library.
Tiny file size, Piano Modelling, super fast loading, infinitely more choice and control.

Sharp,
Many thanks for the tip! I'm of to find an ExpressCARD to MIDI interface so that I can try the Pianoteq trial. I have plenty USB 2 ports but with no ASIO driver I would have high latency.

Beemer, check
http://www.asio4all.com/, these drivers work very well on almost all audio devices.

So considering my interest in the PA3x and the Pianoteq am I going down the wrong route by buying an Expresscard/midi interface for my Tablet PC rather than using USB?

Some good USB soundcard (m-audio, lexicon, ...) will do just as good. If you want to use it live on gigs, I'd recommend you external card and not internal with asio4all. Usually audio output of internal card is just not good enough.

Love the pianoteq sound. Does anyone know of any piano like this that is designed to load directly into a Pa3x?
