SCSI/USB2 converter cable
I just bought that scsi/usb2 converter cable and am having trouble loading the drivers, my pc is fairly new windows xp and when it recognizes the external device it tries to load the drivers off the installation cd that came with it, but at some point it says file not found and then indicates that there are errors with the drivers after that. someone recommended this device in one of these topics, i forget where. does anybody know how to fix this? or should I just contact the manufacturer?? i forget the brand name, i'm at work right now....

That didn't work either. I'll probably have to contact them for direct help. Thanx for the suggestion.

Give us some additional details.
If you are referring to the Adaptec USB2XChange, the drivers should load with no problem in a Windows XP system.
The manufacturer has alot of information about the product on their website, including installation instructions and the most current drivers.

I think what I didn't do is that setting on the Triton that makes it a slave device. I forget what it's called. I think it's in global mode. It probably doesn't work without setting that up right. Maybe that's giving me the error.

Not got my USBXchange yet, want I want to know is, will all items named "USB 2.0 Xchange" work with the triton? - or are there different kinds of USBXchange's available IE: for mac etc. This one here I see by a UK dealer USBXchange Is one reliable shop I use quite frequently (got my Ram from there). Will this be OK? - and is this USB A-A male/female extension cable 3Mtr.
the right Cable for it?
Male to female, but that could be the wrong way round I guess!.

You will want the usb2xchange which will give the Triton Studio usb2 capability, which is about twice as fast as the computer transfers with the Extreme.
Remember, that when you set it to target mode, you must write the global setting, otherwise it will start up again in initiator mode. Very simple. Actually couldn't be any simpler to transfer files to the computer.
Another thing, is if you plug the USB2xchange into a different usb port than you installed it on, you will have to reinstall the usb2xchange driver. Be sure to use the same port.

Ok, now for modern days, I'm in Vista now and cannot find drivers for usb2exchange. Am I going to have to transfer the wav files to my old XP computer and then to my Vista computer in order to continue using the adaptor? Anyone have a better way to transfer wav files from Studio to Windows XP. An external drive? Anything?
Good news!! (UPdate) I finally found the original cd rom that came with it and vista was able to load those drivers for xp and use them. Files are being transferred. That's a relief.

Cool on the CD discovery. I usually use one of them USB thingy's to xfer data around. If the size > USB thingy, then I use xternal USB hard drive.

Hi everyone,
I wonder were I can get a compatibile scsi/usb coverter cable. Any particullar brand or model? I found a few on eBay prices very from $12 to $120 (this one doesn't look much different). Can someone please check eBay's item 170186526122 and advise if this would work with TS and windows 2000/xp? Thanks a lot

That eBay item should work. It is not a brand I am familiar with, but as long as it comes with a driver - it should work.

I just need to confirm that the ebay item 170186526122 would NOT fit Korg Triton. I looked at mine and read in the manula, we need to look for 50 pin connection. You should consider something like item 320209683053 which is a 50 pin SCSI / USB connection and it seems it comes with SCSI male/female adaptor (not sure). Anyhow Triton needs sub D-50 male connection (50 pin). Cheers.

What I do is once I'm finished sequencing a song, I then do a 2 channel mix to disk of each track and then with the cable connected to the pc I copy each new wav file and then I remaster and mix the channels using Audacity on my computer. This enables me to apply insert effects and overdubbing that is beyond what the capabilities are of the TS. I'm using the mastering software of Soundforge with a plugin called Ozone 3
