Hi friends....
OH!!!!
I have made a rod for my back but all is OK.
I have started working on this project and hadn't realised how many styles I had!!!!!
I am still just loading them - haven't got to the editing yet.
Anyhow this is what I am building:-
I am placing all these styles in labeled "favorite" banks and trying to keep the genres as sensibly grouped as possible.
There are some really good ones, some basic ones, and a few poor ones but I will include the lot.
Even the poorer ones may be useful to you to build on or add to.
Once I have loaded them all and BEFORE I edit, I will save everything so that PA1X/PA2X users can load them - even though they are in "favorite" banks they should be able to open the STY files and load them individually (which is what you have to do anyway from i-series styles)
The i3_Styles_PA3X SET I am building will just contain favorite style banks and should load in one hit.
Please allow me a little more time to edit these - I had grossly underestimated how much work there is to do.
Will keep you posted in this thread when they are ready.
Cheers
Pete

Update:-
I have finished loading all the i3 styles - grand total of 430!!!
Most of them need tempo adjustment and several need sound changes.
Some do not have drum kits selected for DRUM and PERC tracks.
There are some nice ones - I think you will find some that you can use and others that may help form the base of a new style.
Remember that these are NOT the i3 ROM factory styles - they're all add-ons.
Some have been converted or re-created from other arrangers (e.g. Technics KN)
I have loaded all these styles in FAVORITE and USER banks and saved them as one PA3X SET.
I have started adjusting tempos etc but suddenly thought that you may prefer different tempos and, in some cases, instruments (SOUNDs)
So I have a question for you....
Would like me to make this SET available now and then you can do the editing at your leisure and probably get rid of styles/gentres you don't like?
OR
Would you like me to finish the tempo changes and Style settings saves first for all the styles (this will take a while as I had not expected there to be over 400 styles!!)
Several of the styles are quite useable as they are (except tempo)
If you take them now, then all you have to do is
SAVE ALL YOUR CURRENT STYLES SAFELY to DISK!!!!!
Load my i3_STYLES_PROJECT.SET
This will completely overwrite ALL your Favorite and USER style banks with these i3 styles.
The basic procedure for each style (you want to use) would be:-
- Select an i3 STYLE from FAVORITE or USER STYLE banks
Enter "Record STYLE" mode
Immediately overwrite the style (without making changes) by selecting menu item "Write Style"
Exit Record STYLE mode
Adjust the tempo to suit (they all default to 120bpm)
Change any of the accompaniment instruments (selecting PA3X drums and non-GM sounds will improve the overall style)
Select your requirements for when the style is next time selected (e.g. synchro start, INTRO 1, VAR3 etc..etc..)
Now, from pull-down top-right menu, select "Write Current Style Settings" and let it overwrite itself.
Save your changes to a new set on disk periodically.....
Cheers

I could go for them now Pete. As you say, we all have different tastes and will most probably tweak the styles to our liking. Thanks so much!

If you are going to do the work anyway, I will wait!
Either way, thanks.

whatever flavour you like Pete
But as another wrote if we are only going to tweak them anyway, might as well post the bundle, which would suit those who want to tweak, and in the meantime work on them yourself to post up at a later date.

Agree with Miden... But it's really your personal descision Pete - I'll be happy with whatever you decide. Though I'm curious, and can't wait to expand library.
