Greetings all,
Sorry if I missed a posting on this, but has anyone else had difficulty installing the new Editor 2.1.0 on OSX Mavericks? I keep getting this message:
“KRONOSEditor2_1.pkg” can’t be opened because it is from an unidentified developer.

That doesn't work either. I also notice that the latest MIDI driver won't install - same message.

It's OSX Mavericks not its predecessor Mountain Lion. But, I will try the "GateKeeper" routine and see if that works.

It worked for me on mavericks to install the editor.
Mavericks uses the same gatekeeper system as ML.

Hi Jim,
Rt. click on it and choose open. I always have this issue because of the GateKeeper. This is the workaround. Hope this helps..
edit: Actually picked that up from one of the earlier Korg downloads. It was in the install instructions.

The "GateKeeper routine" will work.
EDIT: you can also go into your "OS System Settings" and I forget where it's at, exactly, since I am not running Mtn Lion or Mavericks at the moment, but there is a setting to "Allow apps from any developer" - this will disable GateKeeper.

Hi,
I had the Same problem was Able to fix it.
It is Mavericks Gatekeeper that must be changed before Installation.
1. Go to the system preference
2. Go to Security and privacy
3. Switch the Allow applications downloaded from to
Anywhere
Then it should work.
Best regards
Patrice

Yes, it was Mavericks' gatekeeper. It would have been nice if Apple had specified more clearly some of the new quirks in the updated OS. Anyway, I solved it by doing Ctrl - right click on my track pad, then followed the prompt and installed. All working now.
However, that's not all the Mavericks has screwed up now, but little by little I'm discovering the work arounds and tricks.

This setting was in previous OS and I had disabled it, but it appears the OS update arbitrarily reset some of the System Settings.
