My Poly800 and MIDI.... *sigh*

I just wanted to let out a public sigh about my good old Poly800 which has been serving me well for the last 30 years. But now that I want to hook it up to my new Kronos, it shows all the well known MIDI problems: it refuses to come out of omni mode and the Kronos sequencer erases its voice memory -- seemingly even when the Poly800 itself is switched off while being still connected to the Kronos via MIDI cable.

*sigh*
