Mixing mp3 with kronos sounds

Post by blackmamba »

Hello,

I would like to mix some sounds from kronos with mp3 recordings I did some time ago.
From what I read on this forum, it looks like its not possible to import mp3 files and to mix them directly via the kronos. Am I wrong?

How would you achieve this?

Cheers,

Just take your MP3 and convert it to .wav files in your computer. Then transfer to the Kronos. I convert them all the time and I set the .wav to 48K.

Thank you for your answer.
I convert them all the time and I set the .wav to 48K.
And if the sampling rate is 44,1k will it be able to convert in to 48k without sound distortion?

I wouldn't worry about distortion when the original is an MP-3.

Yes for the quality you are right but I am more talking about the sound base pitch. If the pitch is modified, then it will sound awful.

I believe I had this issue with Audacity when I tried to change the sample rate !
