Help! Weird seq glitch!

Just when you think everything is alright it goes to the toilet!

I'm working on a new rock song and suddenly my seq keeps locking up. Everytime I change the location number my Kronos locks up for about 20 seconds. Then I have an electronic pop in my headphones and it works until I change it again. This problem also happens whever I use any of the transport buttons on the seq. It happens with the location button which I often change to work on a specific part.

I copied the song onto a new location but the problem came along with it.

Now the weird part. I've not been able to replicate the problem on other songs that I've recorded before. So far I've only tried one other song but still, it's very frustrating.

I've backed everything up but I'm sure that I aslo backed up the problem.

Has anybody else encountered this before? I've powered down my Kronos but it doesn't change anything.

Have you gone into global to check the CPU load and memory usage?

I once had a sequence that caused my M3 to lock up. The problem was that the master track had been corrupted, which Korg Support told me that it likely happened during the save process. Fortunately, the song was partially salvaged by forum member Bald Eagle. Anyway, I don't know what the problem is with your song, but something to try:

Instead of copying the whole song to a new location, try copying and testing one track at a time to a new song and see if the problem persists. The idea is to isolate the problem track, if there is one. If you copy a track and it doesn't have any glitches, save it before copying in the next track over. Doing this can be a bit tedious, I admit. You can also try loading one track at a time instead of using the copy measures command.

I'll try and check those ideas out tonight. Thanks!
